Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine (Medical Director Dr. Jinho Lee) signed an MOU with the Kyrgyzstan State Medical Academy on 5th February. As a result of the agreement, the two organizations decided to actively collaborate in medical personnel and academic exchanges.
In the future, Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine plans to share medical technology, experience, and know-how for the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders through the exchange of medical personnel with Kyrgyzstani medical staff. Also, Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine will conduct joint research and organize academic conferences.
The ceremony was held at the office of the Kyrgyzstan State Medical Academy, with key officials from both institutions including Dr. Ha-Neul Kim, Director of Jaseng International Clinic, and Kyardiberg Genova Indira Orazbayevna, President of Kyrgyzstan State Medical Academy.
Willing to promote various exchange activities such as lectures on Korean medicine for Kyrgyzstani medical staff
This agreement was made possible because Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine was recognized for its efforts to foster Kyrgyzstan’s Korean medicine and improve public health infrastructure. The signing of agreement on joint research at the request of the President Hospital of Kyrgyzstan in 2015 has served as momentum of its partnership with Kyrgyzstan. In 2017, the Promotion Center of Korean Medicine was established in conjunction with the Korean Ministry of Health and Welfare and Korea Health Industry Development Institute, and Jaseng has been operating a Korean medicine clinic in Ergene Hospital, a local private hospital, additionally providing training on Korean medicine treatments to Kyrgyzstani medical staff since 2018.
In addition, Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine has been traveling across Kyrgyzstan, including the capital city of Bishkek, Issyk-Kul, and Osh, through its regular medical service trips since 2017. As the satisfaction of local patients has spread by word of mouth, more than 1,700 patients were treated by Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine until its 9th on-site medical service trip which began on 28th January.
Expanding exchanges to Russia and Central Asia, which will contribute to the globalization of Korean medicine.
Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine is expanding its bases into Russia and Central Asia through continually making exchange agreements with national medical universities and institutions such as Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Mongolia. Through these activities, Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine intends to contribute to the globalization and popularization of Korean medicine.
