Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine recently became the primary medical care provider for the national team of Kazakhstan.
In June of 2017, Jaseng Hospital signed an agreement with the Kazakhstan Professional Sports Training School to provide medical support for professional athletes in the Kazakhstan capital, Astana.
In accordance with the agreement, Jaseng Hospital will be dispatching doctors to this training school twice a year to treat the national athletes for spinal and joint injuries.
The Kazakhstan Professional Sports Training School is a sports training institute established by Kazakhstan to train Olympic medalists and world champions. A total of 140 athletes, including wrestling world champion silver medalist Nelson Bezanov, belong to this institution.
Prior to forming this agreement, Dr. Kim Ha-Neul, who is the head of the International Medical Center of Jaseng Hospital, presented a lecture on sports medicine, acupuncture and chuna therapy to the athletes.
At the ceremony, professional sports athlete Karin Rustam Ilyasovic stated, “Our athletes were surprised that once they got the acupuncture treatment, their pain disappeared and their range of motion increased significantly. Through this agreement, future exchanges between these institutions will be made possible, and I very much look forward to that.”
Dr. Kim continued, “In the case of professional athletes, the injuries they develop from their training and competitions can have a devastating impact on their performance level. We hope to develop an injury healing program for athletes both inside and outside of Kazakhstan that will ensure that they are always competing at their best.”
